This is a special extension that contains only the main function - to make the new tab less loaded.

Also we added world time. Just install and enjoy!

By clicking "Add to chrome" you accept and agree to installing "Dark Theme - Custom New Tab" extension and setting Chrome New Tab to that provided by the service and the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The extension will update your search settings and will change your search engine to be powered by Bing.

this is really nice. but when you're not directly in messages, the popup window for messaging is a little derpy, with white boxes.

It might be nice but messenger tabs are bugged so the dark theme doesn't apply to messages so it looks like every line has been highlighted

Looks good when it's actually working. For the most part, it's great. That is to say that sometimes there are sections that do not get modified. I imagine this is due to the selectors being changed on Facebook's end and haven't been updated in this extension. One of the biggest reasons I am not going to use it, though, is that you cannot differentiate between read and unread messages because their backgrounds are identical colors (both are #1e1e1e). Nice extension for the most part though. It's just that there are crucial areas that aren't modified correctly.
