Hit upon the exact issue - chats slowing to a crawl after long conversations with lots of code flying around - and immediately stumbled upon this solution, which works perfectly and exactly as advertised.

actually great, to anyone that said it doesnt work, it does. You just have to refresh your page. thats why it didnt work for me at first until i did that
fixed lagging/crashing chats with a long log of messages

You are doing the lords work with this plug-in. Why ChatGPT cant do this themselves is beyond me. I really hope you continue to support this plug-in, because it saves a lot of time if you have a long session (to the point where without this plugin it is ridiculously laggy and time consuming).
