Developers and performance-conscious users need a quick, lightweight way to see how long each page takes to load and which phases (DNS, connect, response, DOM parsing, etc.) consume the most time

Content script (performance.js) runs on every page load, uses Navigation Timing API to collect timing data, sends it via runtime message to background script (background.js), which stores it per-tab in local storage and sets a badge. Clicking the icon opens popup.html/popup.js which reads the stored timing and renders a detailed breakdown table.
