AI 产品解读Download and view Twitch and Kick VOD segments, highlights, clips, and stories directly within the browser
Allows users to save and archive streaming content from Twitch and Kick that would otherwise be unavailable after VOD expiration (7-60 days), including recovery of deleted/expired VODs
User navigates to a Twitch or Kick channel/VOD page, clicks the extension button which injects a UI panel. From there they can: (1) view recent streams via the stream logging database (requires optional login), (2) watch/download the current VOD segment with custom controls, (3) download clips directly. The extension fetches HLS manifests and TS segments from Twitch/Kick CDN endpoints, assembles them, and provides download functionality using the File System Access API for large files.

- 目标用户
- Twitch viewers who want to archive or save VOD content / Content creators who need to download their own streams / Users who want to recover deleted or expired VODs / Kick platform users wanting similar download capabilities
- Cannot confirm whether voddownloader.com destination service has paid tiers that might gate the stream logging database feature
- The extension's 'best experience' language around login is vague - unclear exactly what features are unlocked with authentication

No payment gating, subscription logic, billing APIs, or upgrade UI found in the source code. The deterministic 'premium' hit (background.js:763) is about detecting Twitch Prime badges on streamers ('is_prime: badge_ids?.some(id => id == \"premium\")'), not about extension features. The 'subscribe' hits (domBuilder.js:266-267) refer to Twitch subscriber-only VOD detection. The only payment-related link is a PayPal donation button (domBuilder.js:459: paypal.me/quickliio), which is voluntary, not a feature gate. No Stripe, billing, or subscription keywords found anywhere in the codebase.

- The extension has a full OAuth2 authentication system (AWS Cognito with PKCE) but login is explicitly presented as optional. The UI button reads 'Login/Sign Up for Best Experience' (ui.js:114), and the handleGetStreams function gracefully handles unauthenticated users by returning null without blocking core functionality (background.js:71-73). Login provides access to a 'stream logging database' (per store description v3.24) but VOD downloading, viewing, and clip downloading work without authentication.
As a user of the old version, I actually think the new version is better and more efficient. But I ran into some bugs—when I’m in a VOD, I can’t use this extension. It only works when I’m on the channel’s home page or in a live stream.
C'est vraiment dommage la dernière MAJ a totalement tout gâchés, j'espère qu'on reviendra a la version précédentes.
Please do a rollback. I had 0 complaints about the last vers, now trying to timestamp and download a 30 second segment is absolutely horrible
I imagine everyone who used this extension feels the same way I do: the latest update is terrible. Here's a short list of the issues : -The new interface is awful, from the colors to the error messages like 'vod is not available' which look terrible. -There are no more VOD titles when watching recent streams. -The chat is gone. -The new player is horrible. The only positive thing is that you can skip forward or backward 30 seconds, but that should have been there a long time ago. I'm guessing there's probably just one developer behind this really useful extension, but I don't know what you were thinking, with all due respect. I've been using your extension every day for at least a year and a half, and now it's a pain to use. Sorry for the 1-star rating, but you really need to revert these changes. PS: In your changelog you say "UI overhaul. Simplification. See demo video." Maybe the UI has become less intuitive, but there's no way it's better. I've been trying to find positive things about this update for a week now, but there are almost none
previous version was a lot better. it downloaded whole vods, i could set the time where i want to start downloading and where to end. now it opens third party website you have to have open whole time. how is this version more stable if it goes offline so easily and so fast? the screen ui is too big so you have to scroll down for things like changing volume of the vod or the speed (the only plus is 4x speed to the previous i think 2x but does it really matter when everything else doesn't work like it should?), no chat from the vod and also when i'm searching for vods on the channel it doesn't show all hidden vods (apparently they were too short to save but the previous extension didn't have that problem). i preferred to pay 10 dollars someone else than use this for free. just upload this new update as a new extension and bring back the previous one here. I read below you wanted to speed up the download process but if i'm downloading a vod that is 10 hours the change won't be even noticeable, it's not worth it.
go back to the previous version please, it was easier to figure out and now the new buttons don't work anymore
Appreciative for this extension. God's work, thank you! -has some bugs, sometimes goes offline, but works most of the time and is very easy to use
stark gemacht
I dont normally ever leave reviews, but i felt i had to do it this one time. Thanks for the developer for making this app, as there is no other app like it. You can download vods in any quality and the best part is, you can also PARTIALLY download. Its very reliable and doesnt crash half way through downloading like other apps do. 5 out of 5 stars from me.
Its light mode now, sadly no more dark mode. It doesn't match really with the twitch ui. Icons are smaller too. Also this extension was good for going back on current streams, you can't really do that anymore until the current stream reaches certain time (45 minutes I think?) but even when current stream is available it doesn't automatically open stream when you click the extension like it used to. It just feels a lot more complicated when the previous version was more straight forward. I understand tho that its a revamp. Hope it gets better
