Once the extension is installed, Office files that you drag into Chrome, open in Gmail, Google Drive and more will be opened in Docs, Sheets and Slides for viewing and editing.

You can save each file back to its original Office format or convert it to Docs, Sheets or Slides to unlock more features, like inviting others to edit with you, commenting, chatting and more.

Appears to open Word docs just fine and even .xls but it fails to open .xlsx files.

Ruinzinho.. mal mal... Apenas funciona como editor básico, e depois de usálo, danific o arquivo original, pois perdem-se formatos, formulas, filtros etc. No excel nem pensar.. PPT perde animacoes, word muda formatos.. Falta madurar, se o problema é que seja gratis, o OpenOffice é muito mais confiável e funciona melhor offline

Great to have an app with offline native ms office file system support and massively sympathise with any vendor working with MS on xml file formats as MS do not follow standards to the letter. So that causes issues. However key issues that need work here (my main need is xl files) are: - struggles with large sheets - No graphing support - No password support - Basic formatting and colouring often does not render At the moment see this as a useful reader or lite editor for simple small sheets when offline. (tbh would use the richer functionality in MS Office Web Apps when online.)

Для тех, кто в танке. Это расширение позволяет редактировать файлы Microsoft Office (Word, Excel и PowerPoint) в Google Документах, Google Таблицах и Google Презентациях. Чтоб понять, как этим пользоваться, просто откройте, например, файл Word (.docx) в Документах Google и всё сразу же поймёте. Единственное, конечно, до функционала Microsoft Office, как до Луны. :)
