View and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files - without needing Office installed on your computer.

Once the extension is installed, Office files that you drag into Chrome, open in Gmail, Google Drive and more will be opened in Docs, Sheets and Slides for viewing and editing.

You can save each file back to its original Office format or convert it to Docs, Sheets or Slides to unlock more features, like inviting others to edit with you, commenting, chatting and more.

Seems to be pretty flaky and slow. I usually end up having to convert to a google format to get any real work done.

It is simply a addon to allow quick editing of ms office files without converting them to google docs formats. That is all it does. It is not designed for doing serious document writing, just quick edits. For serious stuff, use Google Docs. That's what it's for. Google docs can convert to and from MS Office anyway. So therefore, nothing to worry about.

Editing depends entirely on connectivity speeds and is quite inefficient. Formulas are difficult to insert into Sheets. And I am unable to open files that are password protected, even when I have the password. These programs need significant improvements before they can be used on an everyday basis.

Veo que mejoran otros productos, y este no se queda atrás... pero, no le encuentro características avanzadas, que sí hay en sus competidores. Anhelo que lo mejoren!!!
