AI 产品解读View and edit Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) directly in Chrome using Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides as the rendering and editing engine
Allows users to open and work with Microsoft Office documents without having Microsoft Office installed on their computer, using Google's free web-based editors instead
User opens an Office file (by clicking, dragging into Chrome, or via Gmail/Drive). The extension intercepts the file via MIME handler registration, opens it in a tab using its built-in QOWT (Quickoffice Web Toolkit) rendering engine, and presents a basic editor. User can view/edit the file, then save back to Office format or convert to Google Docs/Sheets/Slides format (requires Google Account sign-in for conversion and Drive features).

- 目标用户
- Chrome users who need to view or edit Microsoft Office files without owning Microsoft Office / Users of Google Docs/Sheets/Slides who receive Office format files / Chrome OS users (extension pre-installed)
- The extension's core JS files (mainApp.js, mainQOWT.js) are heavily minified, making deep code flow analysis difficult
- Cannot fully verify whether basic view-only mode works without login from source alone - the sign-in messages are for conversion/copy actions specifically
- Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) may have additional paid tiers but those are external to the extension itself
付费分析未识别到付费功能
No evidence of paid features, subscriptions, payment processing, or upgrade prompts in the extension source. The 'promo' dialogs are for Office Compatibility Mode conversion to Google Docs format (a free feature), not payment-related. No terms like premium, subscription, payment, purchase, billing, or upgrade were found. The keyword matches for 'pro' and 'stripe' are false positives from words like 'process', 'promo' (feature promotion), 'predefined process', and 'diagonal_stripe' (a UI pattern).

- The extension requires a Google Account to perform core workflow actions such as converting Office files to Google Docs/Sheets/Slides format and saving copies to Google Drive. Multiple locale strings confirm this: 'You need to sign in to your Google Account in order to convert this file' and 'You need to sign in to your Google Account in order to make a copy.' The extension uses the 'identity' and 'identity.email' permissions for Google authentication. However, basic viewing of locally-opened Office files may work without login.
為什麼我把MicrosoftOffice2007移除後這個功能就不能用了?? 難道系統要求搭配MicrosoftOffice嗎?? 我還以為是用Google文件代為開啟程式 既然這樣~~要寫清楚一些啊~~
Nice work!!
very good <when the doc, xls file's name show your website and you can touch the files well done>不錯的功能,值得推薦。
Would be great to display the word file in an iframe like with pdf!!!!!!!!
Nice extension. I can get a preview before I download the word files. However there are many improvement. For example, better layout convert
Not working in Chromium.
Works up to a point, but it doesn't respect iFrames. I want to open a Word document in an iframe, but the extension loads the document into the browser window, not into the iframe, thereby displacing the original web-page which I also want displayed. Use Case ======== A list of Word document filenames on left side of screen, with a single viewing panel (an iframe) on right of screen. When a user clicks on a document filename, the document is loaded into the viewing panel iframe.
Doesn't work with Chromium... but is fine with Chrome. Huh?
Useful
Really a great extension. Some improvement are required soon. It seems that it cannot handle docx, pptx and xlsx files properly. Especially the charts and graphs are not completely shown and sometimes data are missing. Printing of powerpoint files have some issues. Otherwise, it is very helpful and wish it become part of the browser completely, not just an extension.
