View and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files - without needing Office installed on your computer.

Once the extension is installed, Office files that you drag into Chrome, open in Gmail, Google Drive and more will be opened in Docs, Sheets and Slides for viewing and editing.

You can save each file back to its original Office format or convert it to Docs, Sheets or Slides to unlock more features, like inviting others to edit with you, commenting, chatting and more.

Just like most things by Google this is a broken mess that kinda works sometimes but not when you really need it to and therefore is actually useless. If a friend or guest has has ever enabled their offline sync on your computer you can't undo this without them being present to log in. Literally it is impossible to remove them. What is Google's answer to this problem? To format your PC! Haha, no thanks.

When a document is edited the 'Save As' option is available. It is quote annoying to browse the files original path. So could you please put there a simple 'Save' option (to overwrite the original file)? Thanks!

"You can save each file back to its original Office format" This is a lie. It will only let you save excel spreadsheets in Google Sheets format. Damned Google!
