Free and unlimited password manager to keep your login credentials safe and manage them directly in your browser.
Get the password manager created by the former scientists who met at CERN behind Proton Mail, the world’s largest encrypted email provider. Proton Pass is open-source, end-to-end encrypted, and protected by Swiss privacy laws.
Pass offers more than other free password managers and has no ads or data collection. You can use it for free forever on all your devices to create and store unlimited passwords, autofill logins, generate 2FA codes, create email aliases, secure your notes, and more.
* Protect your logins and their metadata with battle-tested end-to-end encryption
While many other password managers only encrypt your password, Proton Pass uses end-to-end encryption on all your stored login details (including your username, the website address, and more).
* Audit Pass’s open-source code

addy.io is open-source and creates aliases that forward to your real inbox. Share an alias instead of your main email address.
I use this daily alongside my proton unlimited, excellent level of security and provacy for my logins. Only grip i have is the UI is very compact and could do with being a bit bigger and clearer as the extension window is very compressed.
Upon re-evaluating the Google Extension, Proton Pass, it's clear that it holds true to its commitment of being an entirely private and secure password manager—it efficiently safeguards all your data, metadata included. However, the user interface could see enhancements, particularly in terms of detail management. As it stands at the time of this review, only a limited portion of the screen is available for editing all your details. A key gripe for me is the inability to adjust your login email address—a restriction that Proton itself doesn't see as crucial, suggesting users subscribe to a new package with a different address if desired. This is puzzling, especially since I've managed to alter my email address on other secure platforms like sync.com, which also incorporate end-to-end encryption. Such experiences affirm that this feature, indeed, can be integrated, even within E2E encryption models' framework. Despite these early developmental challenges and teething issues—commonplace for any new product—Proton Pass, barring the aforementioned points, proves itself to be an impressive offering.
I Love(d) Proton. But, where is tags? Where is attached files? Where is more colors? Why icon pack is so poor? Guys.... I would love to put 5 stars. And I am sure I will. But as a payed version user I put 2 stars only. But still. Proton – forever! PS: Few weeks of using your password manager, gentlemans.. hahaha. Proton forever. Change to one star... Plugin just sometimes doesn`t works. It just generates new password.. and then nothing. I open the plugin – plus button doesn`t respond. I tried to check resently generated password... But plugin just shows me the window and give no respond to my actions.. Restared plugin, then restarted browser – nothing. Plus it recently just logout at my phone without any reason. Garbage. I wonder if it`s so hard to do plugin that just works. I am slowly changing my attitude to Proton company... If couple months ago I could recommend Proton, now I wouldn`t.
5 stars for potential. Good company behind it. I've been using their email service for several years. 2 stars for the product currently. It still lacks a significant number of essential features that a password manager should have. For example, it's not even possible to categorize passwords at this point.
So far I really like the potential of this new app/extension. I'm a long time Bitwarden user and it's free version actually gives you more features than the Proton Pass free version. So probably not worth me switching over from Bitwarden right away. However, once Proton Pass is more fully developed I will look into paying for Proton Unlimited as the combined cost of subscriptions to Google Drive and ExpressVPN will equal or exceed the single subscription to Proton Unlimited which will give me Email, Drive, Calendar, VPN and Password Management in a very secure and reliable environment. I just feel safer and more private and secure using Proton Services, my trust in them rises every day.
Great for everyday use. Still lack a lot of features though (check their forums to see).
Tem muito potencial. Muita coisa faltando ainda, mas esta função de email é muito útil e um ponto que me fez mudar para o próton pass.
I believe this service is still in its primitive stage. Some features, mainly that of updating the password after a password change automatically are still missing. However after some time with enough user reports guiding the developers in the right direction I am sure these things will be ironed out. It does however show a lot of promise with a very sleek UI and strong functionality at an affordable price.
It's still new and already has most of the features I am used to having in my other password managers, I am really missing having a full app though, I use Windows and Ubuntu, and would really make my life easier if I didn't have to open my browser every time I need a password, the other thing is credit card auto fill as mentioned but so far it is lighter that other password managers especially on iOS. Keep the good work up Proton team!
Excellent password manager, great addition to the Proton suite of tools, yes there are a few bugs, which the dev team seems to be fixing quickly, overall this password manager has serious potential, I trust in the Proton team, and really love the email alias feature! Keep up the great work proton team!
