★★★★★ Switched to Proton Pass and it’s just… solid. Setup was easy. Import worked. Autofill does what it’s supposed to do without fighting me. Password generator is strong by default and doesn’t make you dig through menus to tweak it. I like that it’s from the Proton ecosystem — the privacy angle isn’t hype, it’s kind of their whole identity. End-to-end encrypted, zero-knowledge, no weird “trust us bro” vibes. That matters. The email alias feature is low-key one of the best parts. Being able to spin up a new alias right from the extension is practical, not gimmicky. Makes cleaning up spam way easier. UI is clean. Not flashy. No bloat. It stays out of the way and just works. Nothing dramatic. It does its job, does it well, and doesn’t make a mess. Five stars.

Proton is a breath of fresh air. It's beautifully designed and simple to use (I'm a product strategist so I'm picky about these things :D ). The Password manager far exceeds lastPass with its outdated UI and that became very buggy the past year. As I wanted to get off the Google eco system for multiple reasons, I'm glad I'm supporting a company with ethics on privacy and that doesn't sell your data. The Password manager is very easy to use. The pin lock is great as typing in a lengthy password each time would be a nuisance. Biometric would be nice in public environments but I would suggest that after inactivity or your laptop and phone being in different locations, it defaults to the pin first, followed by biometric. I'm not a person of interest but for whistleblowers, it should not be possible to grab their finger and forcefully take over the account :) You guys do amazing work and I could not be happier to support you. Good password manager, it needs a few QoL updates though. 1. While the extension can be set to lock after a certain period, it currently only supports PIN codes for unlocking. In public environments, it would be more secure and convenient to support biometric authentication, f.ex. Touch ID on macOS. 2. The auto-lock feature is based on a fixed time interval rather than a period of inactivity. Allowing users to lock the vault after inactivity would feel more intuitive and would prevent it from locking while the user is actively browsing, which currently requires re-entering the PIN unnecessarily. 3. Autofill currently does not support two-factor authentication fields. Adding this feature would significantly improve usability and streamline the login process.
