Changes fullscreen buttons so they will put a window around the fullscreen app. This allows you to put a Youtube video about a subject next to the paper you are writing or watch a show on Netflix while chatting. This extension will not reload the video you are watching, nor use some custom controls: it puts the website in its own fullscreen mode. Now also supports Picture-in-Picture mode when fullscreening a video, but this takes away the websites video controls.

This extension requires "Read sites data" permission to function, but you can right-click the extension icon, click "This Can Read and Change Site Data" and enable it only for websites that you are comfortable with. Also the source is open, so you can read that no data is actually read or changed by this extension :)

It will present you with a small menu when you click fullscreen, so you can choose to go fullscreen or windowed.

Exactly what I was looking for. PIP is my favorite mode. Couple of suggestions tho: 1. Remember size and position so when I restart browser/computer it will not revert to the bottom right /default size. (this is a bit annoying) 2. If possible move controls to the external window as well so you can skip in the video without going to the original tab. 3. More than one PIP would be great. PIP #1, PIP #2, PIP #3 so you can decide where to send your video. Overall great extension, love it!
I literally searching from google and found someone make extension on github and try to search the name here. It's worked fine on mine and I really need this so thank you.

i watch alot of foreign tv, and unless the subtiltiles are edited into the the video, they wont appear. everything else works tho

Works well. I don't know why this is not yet default functionality for video on the web. Appreciate the extension to fill the gap until this becomes standard.
This is the best plugin on google chrome store, IMHO. It is a must in my opinion for everyone owning an ultra-wide monitor. Take my word for it, you will thank me and the creator of this plugin later.

Best extension ever, it saved me because i love see a lot of lives at same time :D, here have some bugs if you stack the windowed and show a part of video but it must be because the players and not the windowed mode
