Highly recommended, giving it 5 stars. I donated too because I realised I always use widgets like this that are written by people cleverer than myself, often for little or no reward, and figured it was time to say thanks. Hopefully a small contribution helps make it even better.

I really really liked this extension. And then something happened where it wouldn't let me open my Gmail emails. I tried a lot of things to open my gmail, and finally disabled AdBlock. Tada, my email came back. Now I have to go back to having Ads all the time. So sad. But at least I have email again.

This works perfectly well for me and blocks everything it should. A few minor things at the beginning (like configuring what to block on an intranet page) are easily and quickly resolved using the options, and then you can surf pages that are wonderfully free of flashing ads and pop-ups. I can't say I noticed a slower performance of my notebook, and while it's only a year old, it's certainly not a fancy notebook. Basically, try it. For me, it works wonders.

It blocks flash ads on websites but not the ads from videos. It's advertised everywhere that it does, but apparently not for me.

Outstanding. I, too, came to Chrome from Firefox and it was my first add-on. BTW, I don't see any sign of the CPU usage problem mentioned elsewhere. This extension works exactly as advertised.
