View Image Button (for Google™ Search) is an extension that lets you add a button to the Google image search page to view images directly.
The toolbar button serves as an ON|OFF switch to quickly add or remove the button. Please note that clicking the view image button will open the image in a new tab. Moreover, this extension tries to find and open the image in the maximum available resolution (please wait for the image to completely load and render before pressing the view image button).

Working like a charm!
works on google (and don't start getting me as a bot)
Started doing malicious redirects, uninstall now
No longer works, I mean yeah I'm on Opera, but it used to show up perfectly! Now I have to double click and do open image in a new tab instead, it makes my workflow clunkier : ( I tried turning it on and off and on again, nothing
it works for me in Brave. Would appreciate the View Image button being moved so that it doesn't block the resolution text

Very good tool, though occasionally issues of opening the thumbnail rather than the full image persist. Still completely asinine that Google removed this functionality natively (it seems tech companies have gone out of their way to reduce functionality and convenience in almost every product over the past decade for some otherworldly purpose)
