The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

This extension has a serious problem. When I saved a article to Google Drive by using the extension, I get a png format picture of the page, which is good. While, the picture doesn't show the exact content of the webpage, it looks like the picture was consisted by several pictures and each of them are overlapped. I figure the extension only works fine when I want to save a picture or several words to Drive. To save a long webpage, it has bugs to be fixed.

Dunno what the point of this extension is. Should make, at least that's how i understand it, make the steps download, re-upload to Google Drive unnecessary + saving traffic on your line, by saving it directly to the cloud. Would be great for slow connections or when beeing mobile so you won't waste you data volume. But doesn't work at all. Monitored my traffic at home by transfering a file with this extension. My upload was maxed out, like a normal upload. So the only thing it does is download and upload directly, without any user interaction, over your line, saving a few clicks, but causing traffic. Might be ok for a few pics or so but totally useless for anything else. And for pics, there are way more convenient solutions than this. Also the size limitation is another issue, which makes it even more useless. Use Ballloon it does this without any limitations and better.

I settled on this extension to grab full web page screen captures because it is a Google-developed extension and I didn't feel comfortable installing some of the alternatives. One main thing that I wish it would do is enable direct save to my computer. The other 3rd party extensions have this type of feature, and I don't always want the screenshot to go to my Drive and then have to download it again for a project.

Can't find a way to do save YouTube videos to Google Drive with this. Should be very easy...last I checked, Google owns YouTube, no?
Very useful, save Screenshots, pic´s, links and more to Drive, just by right click.
