AI 产品解读Save images and ideas from any website to the user's Pinterest boards
Allows users to quickly capture and organize visual inspiration, recipes, products, and other ideas from the web into their Pinterest collections without leaving the current page
User browses the web and clicks the Pinterest Save button (toolbar icon, context menu, or hover save button). The extension scrapes pinnable images from the current page and displays an image picker. User selects images, then picks a destination board from their Pinterest account. The extension creates pins via the Pinterest API. If not signed in, the user is first prompted to authorize their Pinterest account via OAuth.

- 目标用户
- Pinterest users who want to save web content to their boards / Shoppers and researchers collecting visual inspiration / Recipe collectors and DIY enthusiasts / Content curators organizing visual references
- Source files are heavily minified (backgroundScript.js, contentScript.js, bundle.js are single-line bundles), making line-level citations less useful but the code is still readable
- The extension uses cookie-based auth tied to pinterest.com domain rather than a traditional OAuth popup flow, which is unusual but effective for detecting existing Pinterest sessions

No billing, subscription, upgrade, premium, or payment-related code found anywhere in the extension. All 'pro' keyword hits are false positives from locale translations (e.g., Afrikaans 'probleem' = problem, 'Probeer weer' = try again, 'progress'). No payment platforms (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) detected. Pinterest has external business/ads plans, but the extension itself gates no features on payment.

- The extension requires a Pinterest account to function. The background script reads _auth and _pinterest_sess cookies from .pinterest.com domain to authenticate users. All API requests are gated on isAuthenticated state—when false, the extension returns 'User not authenticated'. A dedicated sign-in page ('Connect your Pinterest account' / 'Authorize the Pinterest Save browser extension') is shown to unauthenticated users. OAuth flow is implemented via SETUP_OATH_FLOW action in the content script.
Stopped working, displaying 'board not found' error.
so helpful.
it works. thumbs up. must install.
Great when it works, but the majority of the time it simply does nothing. Tried updating chrome and all sorts of other wizardry sourced through "why doesn't my Pinterest extention work," but have yet to find anything that makes it actually work.
They suspended my account, apparently because I used this extension, and for no other reason that I can see. I was only pinning images to my private account on private boards shared with no one, for personal use only. Then, while working on a board I got locked out of my account and received an email stating that my account had been suspended due to what "appeared" to be a violation of their "spam policy." I'd really like to know how a private account pinning only to private boards shared with no one counts as "spam." Was I suspended for spamming myself? I don't know, because the email offered no further explanation. The only thing different about how I've always used Pinterest was that I installed this extension earlier in the week, but only started using it this evening. And now my account is suspended because I tried to save myself a little time. Once I've posted this review I'm deleting the extension, which was buggy and inconsistent anyway. Now other projects of mine will be delayed too because I can't access ANY of my boards. Complete waste of time and utterly senseless. Don't bother with this useless extension; just take a few extra seconds to pin without it and save yourself the needless hassle.
It freezes browser windows and it doesn't work on many websites, you have to refresh the page to unfreeze. It'd be great if the developers would read these reviews and fix bugs. The extension is useless because it's so annoying. Like another user said, it's easier to save pics and upload them.
Frequently causes certain websites to freeze (especially common with Twitter, freezes my Twitter every ten minutes or so). Also completely stopped working on Instagram posts recently. Was a great extension while it worked but now it's more of a nuisance than a good feature; it's easier to manually download photos and upload them to Pinterest than deal with this glitchy extension.
thanks for the review column. "told all" and was a timesaver inasmuch it was easy to gauge of a 'no-fix' solution as many account holders are suffering similar issues with this particular extension. again thanks
The feature itself is incredibly useful but browsers start lagging or freezing when the save buttons load on pictures. It's incredibly annoying, if this wasn't the case the extension would be perfect.
