The Numerous.ai Google Sheets plugin lets you use AI to perform repetitive tasks and use spreadsheets like a power user. Here’s how:
PROMPT CHATGPT IN YOUR SHEETS
Use the =AI() function directly in your spreadsheet similar to formulas like =SUM() and =AVERAGE() to directly feed prompts to ChatGPT.
- Want to summarize a customer support message? =AI(“Here’s a message from a customer:”, A2, “summarize it in 1-2 bulletpoints”)
- Need to figure out what state a phone number is from? =AI(“What state is the phone number”, A2, “from?”)
And then you can just drag the function down and automatically do that for a hundred more cells.

It doesnt seem to be working
I became a member of the free trial period and a yearly withdrawal was made. Although I wrote to support, I did not receive a refund or return.
Annoying how it pushes you to add your payment info to start a free trial, even though there is a free usage tier. Uninstalling it.
The outputs are similar to or better than ChatGPT, because there’s no filler text before and after them
It’s really cheap for what it does. I bought 5000 tokens three weeks ago and still haven’t run out even though I use it every other day
I've been using Numerous for a few weeks now and I am still amazed by its capabilities -- so many monotonous tasks I used to do in Sheets can now all be automated with the =AI() command. Really has saved me hours and hours each month.
I used it to sift through a ton of submissions I got for a customer survey instead of giving it to the intern. Saved me and the intern a day of work, maybe two.
I was initially having issues, but I contacted support and Mehran was extremely helpful over email. Huge huge fan. 10x'd my work once it started working!
Originally downloaded it for the formula generations, but now I can’t live without the =AI function. It’s like ChatGPT on steroids
I had a huge waitlist and I needed to prioritize onboardings based on how excited people sounded, and I managed to do that with =AI() after a few tries
