😎 HOW DOES THIS TOOL WORK?
After you open this tool, a piece of code will be executed in the current tab. This code is responsible for analyzing the json code and finding the id of the video currently displayed on the screen. Videos that do not appear in the screen frame will be ignored. After finding the video id, the tool continued to send a request to Facebook to get the mp4 link. Then a download button will float above the video and inside the tool window.

Works, unlike other extensions with more stars...
It worked for me in January 2021 (version 3.0.2). So many of these extensions just don't. You must open the Facebook page, have the video within the window, and then START the video. THEN you can start the "Download Facebook videos" extension. (In Chrome, click on the Extensions symbol in the header and then click on the extension name in the drop-down list.) A new tab will open that displays the available resolutions. Click on the download arrow for the resolution that you want and a blue Download button appears above the list. Click on that button and the download will begin. Choose the location to save in and give the file a name you want in the File Explorer Save window, then click save. To respond to the complaints of no sound in the downloaded videos, YES it sometimes happens. The "pick list" for download resolutions clearly shows that all are 'Mute'. However, there is also a selection to download only the AUDIO. I did that and got the sound in a separate MP4 file exactly the same length as the video. You can easily import the matching audio track in a video editor like the free Shotcut. Yes, that is fussy, and many people won't like it, but it does work.

cuando le das a la extensión lo único que hace es abrirte una web que ya puedes acceder sin instalar la extensión, no le veo la utilidad. no sirve para descargar videos en grupos privados de facebook
Doesn't work at all! The only downloaded file is txt file of 1 kb.
