This browser extension offers a unique functionality that enhances the legibility of text on webpages, making reading more accessible and comfortable.

How It Works:

The ADHD Reading Helper is a lightweight and user-friendly Chrome extension that modifies the text on webpages to improve readability. Once installed, simply activate the extension by clicking on the icon in your browser's toolbar. The extension then scans the entire webpage and intelligently makes the first few letters of each word bold, providing a visual cue that aids concentration and comprehension.

Also, just REFRESH the page if you want to turn the extension OFF.

Converting PDFs:

To convert PDFs for use with the ADHD Reading Helper, you'll first need to convert the PDF to HTML format using any reliable PDF-to-HTML converter available online. Once the PDF is converted to HTML, you can utilize the extension to enhance the legibility of the text within the HTML version of the document.

This is a game changer, I could tell the difference in my reading speed immediately! I did find that already bold words don't look much different, perhaps in cases where the word is already bold the action could be swapped (debold the last letters). Otherwise, this is a fantastic extension, 10/10 highly recommend.

This has made reading research papers so much easier. I can now read and interpret information at the same speed. NO longer do I feel like pulling out my hair while trying to read a passage of text!

I found this extension extremely helpful. It has made reading so easy for me. I have been using it so often that I ended up adding a keyboard shortcut for the same. Highly recommended for people with ADHD.

Works more often than other extensions, but leaves a lot to be desired. This extension tends to distort formatting on about half the websites. On https://www.gencoupe.com/threads/diy-front-rear-sway-bar-install.134268/, all the text shifted out of the boxes and into the ad space, layering text ontop and underneath other text, which was entertaining but illegible. Other websites had no formatting issues, and while it was a little annoying to look at, I *did* find my reading comprehension improved when rapidly scanning the page. The google chrome web store text seems immune. Pdfs opened in the browser seem unaffected as well, though I may not be "converting them to html".
