I used LinkStash since 2012. It remains the best bookmark manager (although Raindrop.io is a close contender). What is great about LinkStash is that its vintage 1990s-style GUI is simple and intuitive to use. LinkStash stores bookmarks in a tree directory that resembles Windows File Explorer, which allows you to create main-level folders with sub-folders. Hence, LinkStash offers an easy way to effectively organize your bookmarks into collections or groups by topic or category. THE CATCH is that in order for the Linkstash Chrome extension to work, you must purchase and install the Linkstash application software on your Windows PC. No big deal, because I paid less than $15 for a perpetual license (and thus, no permanent subscriptions fees like with Raindrop). The only big concern is that Linkstash has not been updated since 2021 or 2022. So, if the developer doesn't update Linkstash again, it may stop working in future updates of Windows 11, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. But for now, Linkstash's desktop app and Chrome extension work well, and Linkstash still merits a 5-Star rating.

Looking at images, it looks good, but actually it is not working to synchronize between chrome and the software itself plus many issues in the software. I hope you'd solve them some day.

When this piece of software does works, it's just the best in the world to keep what's important in a digital world full of noise and irrelevant stuff. ====================================================== Extension is broken. Llevo años usando esta extension y el programa. Es una extensión maravillosa, pero ojalá se le pudiera poner una combinación de botones para cada una de sus 3 funciones. Aunque eso no le quita el ser una extensión muy útil.

just my personal opinion, but it maybe the unfavorable reviews are from people who didn't seem to know about LinkStash needing to be a running app for the extention in browser to work. Some people obviously did know this and included in their comment so I'm thinking others maybe didn't. To me it's pretty clear in the instructions but again that's just me.

It's a great tool. I've been using it for many years in different browsers (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Explorer and more) and it works almost perfect. It still needs more functions but is the better for me.

I don't like the software because it doesn't show how many folders i've added and if i intend to create more folders, i've to do it manually, because the "create folder" function creates the sub-folders and isn't productive for this; about the extension i don't like because there are no buttons (links) that i can move to more comfortable positions (for example in the favorites bar) instead of the default bar where many extensions i use or a drag and drop link (button) are displayed (which I can move anywhere on the screen) like with Link Commander Pro, i used this software twice, i would use it again, but one day, the backup file disappeared without explanation and i lost all my bookmarks .. so it uninstalled .. and now I'm looking for alternatives.
