The Great Suspender Reloaded is back on the Chrome Web Store!
This is a safe fork of The Great Suspender and The Great Suspender Original, with open-source code under the GPL 2.0 license and compatible with Manifest v3, which means it works in all Chromium-based browsers in 2025.

I originally made this version for myself but decided to share it with the community, so feel free to join the development. This is not my main job, and I work on fixing bugs and adding new features in my free time.

All trackers and external site requests have also been removed from this version, making it a fully local extension with no external scripts, verified by the Chrome Web Store.

Das Tool funktioniert hervorragend. Trotz meiner knappen 4GB Arbeitsspeicher kann ich viele Tabs anlegen. Es ist wirklich ein Great Tab suspender!

app is great and usefull, but also add a feature (Never suspend tabs that have microphone opened or running). really needed thing

It does not work as well as it used to. When the tab goes to sleep, it does not wake up upon viewing often.

Until any of the great suspender ports fix the favicon error which happens on every suspended tab, after reopening the browser (the website icon converts to a hidden, default suspender icon), NOBODY should use this. The Marvellous Suspender has the identical issue. ALL of you should use brave browser with the great suspender notrack, because it's the only way to not have this awful glitch nobody seems to care about.
