ok lanschool is actual trash and yes they can see what you do but if you have a laptop like me and your IT department installed it then there is no "i didnt agree to install this because all it does is grab your search history AT SCHOOL because lanschool only runs on the lan at a school. also just get chromium its chrome like a literal duplicate and you dont need to worry at all if you get chromium also if you really want to get rid of lanschool get admin like me lol trust its really easy

This lanschool extension is one of the worst things ever invented. This was a very bad experience it did not even work. The teachers just spy on me. This is worst extension every invented and it is just stupid that someone wants to look at maybe personal information. That is a big VIOLATION to me and everyone else getting caught doing something.

I believe that most of you are overreacting with how much you dislike this app, but I still agree. It's an app that very much could be used to spy on students, especially since many people I know use the built-in camera on the computers to look at themselves - such as using it for makeup or looking at their outfits. I've had cases with this application where the teacher would take over my computer and close out of all of my tabs, despite telling them the tabs were for educational purposes. With the same teacher, might I add, would constantly shut down my computer when I was even slightly off task. I have an application on my computer that when I open a new tab, it gives me a quote. The teacher believed that this was off task and promptly shut down my computer. I'm not sure what to believe when it comes to what your teachers do, such as hacking your emails or taking your passwords, because this app is rumored to have a keylogger. Now that I'm in high school, I've noticed that the moderation of the computer has significantly decreased, likely because teachers expect students to be able to pay attention. I still have one teacher that uses the app religiously, and they'll take over our computers with the intention of getting us to pay attention or get us on task. In other words, I'm conflicted on what to think of this app. Perhaps the severity of the app's use depends on your schools. I wish you people the best of luck with this app.

Okay a read you guys reply and lived with it for quite a while and found that you guys are right this is really annoying really. Its exaggerated what they did with this. Teachers should find another way to monitor their students. But spying on them is pretty much wrong and a total invasion of privacy. Teachers and Students should treat each other with respect equally. And please try to do your work. The only reason why you guys are wanting to take this down because you guys want to get away with being off-task. Hard work can make you accomplish anything and have a great future. If you don't listen your future can be a hellhole and you will regret it. Also this is installed through viruses! That's horrible! This can severely damage your computer! It damaged mine and i had to go get it re-imaged! Please find an alternative! This need fixing! I can see this a great tool to make a great learning environment... but it has many issues and viruses. Lanschool doesn't need to be a spyware. Please fix this! This isn't right! People are complaining how they can be monitored from home! That is illegal in many ways, and creepy, considering the number of teachers out there that are only getting a degree just to be a pedophile. The respect and safety of the students and teachers matter. And a lot of people are abusing the power of this software/spyware. In conclusion, please fix this app to be more safe... if not... schools should find an alternative.
