This is the Web Helper extension for LanSchool. It extends the capabilities of the LanSchool Student software. This extension only works in a LanSchool classroom environment with LanSchool student software installed. If the LanSchool Student software is not connected, this extension becomes dormant.

What I figured out is if schools are using it for elementary/middle schools, they never said they weren't taking their personal information. In the Personally Identifiable Information section in the Privacy Practices, LanSchool Web Helper collects the following: For example: name, address, email address, age, or identification number So in fact, they may be violating coppa law. Also this wasn't in the contract and they used it for my elementary and middle schools.

I would rather eat a taint then have this on my laptop
I hate this so much they don't need to be spying on us.
Technically what they are doing is not illegal ULESS they put the software on your personal computer or laptop without your consent then you can sue them but the school is letting you borrow there computers witch is there property so they can do what ever they want but in my opinion I still don't like this program.

it was not in the contract for the computer....which technically means you can delete it with no repercussions.....you're welcome kids
