Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

It doesn't work. It automatically changes back to previous setting (page - URL). It does NOT hold to what I have selected. I was a software tester in my profession and I would call this a TOTAL FAILURE.

I,ve been using this extension for along time and its just the best, i lost it when chrome was updated and had to hunt for it luckily if found it here, just the best for the new tab page.

The only extension that simply and correctly changes chrome's New Tab behaviour. It's nuts that an extension was needed to do this but at least there is one... The one small problem I've noticed is that the "Back" browser button is always active even though there are no previous pages to scroll through. The "Back" button should be disabled when the first page is reached.
