I tried many new tab extensions and speed dial extensions before I found this one. I was just looking for a simple new tab showing icons of all my chrome apps. The challenge was that my Chromebook doesn't show its list of apps in the chrome://apps page, whereas my laptop does. So I couldn't just redirect to the chrome://apps page. I needed an extension that had its own apps page that worked on both computers. This extension solved all my problems. It was the simplest, yet still configurable. In both my laptop and Chromebook, the new tab page shows all my apps and keeps the omnibox url clear. Perfect!

I simply wanted my "new tab" to be the apps instead of the actual "new tab" search screen. I tried the redirect chrome gave as an option in the settings but that failed. This extension fixed that issue real quick and simple.

Brilliant! Overrides the weird changes the Chrome devs keep making to the new page screen. Also keeps the cursor in the Omnibar which depending on your release version, isn't always the case.

Great tool to add a feature that should be standard in Chrome. My new tabs are now slow only when my computer is slow -- odd how that works. ;-)
