Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!

Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.

Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///

Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.

Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

Good things. Google chrome is a great browser, however my 'new tab' page went kaput after chrome 33. This was the only thing that fixed my problem. Google should really get on board with this otherwise they may lose a lot of business.

seit der Aktualisierung funktioniert es leider nicht mehr:( ansonsten gäbe es alle Punkte

This WAS great, until today when for some reason it stopped working. I had to change chrome-internal://newtab for chrome://newtab and now it works again, but the chrome://newtab is up in the search bar and has to be selected before I can write anything new in there. So, bit pointless now really. Will go searching for an alternative.

It works! Chrome version 33.xxx, having the application as new-tab page or any other page for new-tab. It simply works! Right in time for the mess of Google; Simple and very useful extension. Well done +++

Works perfectly. To clear the address bar, just hit Ctrl+l

I want apps as default new tab page, but I also DON'T want to hit ctrl-l to type in the address bar like before. This extension needs to get an option to clear or select everything in the address bar so we can just start typing.

For some odd reason, I'm just getting "Redirecting..." loop, it never actually loads any page I set, no matter what it is.
