This is fantastic. Thank you for doing this. One problem that others haven't mentioned is that I don't think you're taking into account gamma properly in the luminance inversion. For example: yellow highlights in non-inverted space (255, 255, 170) are not visible in inverted space (6, 6, 0).
Absolutely the best. it actually makes things black, not just gray and without messing it. webpages also look much better than with a css extension. thanks a lot
You have made a wonderful extension.
Really the best "high contrast" solution out there for chrome as it usually retains the original colors because it only decreases brightness. Although, as everyone is saying, it still applies to .png and .gif images which is a pain, as most of the images in Google images are wonky like that :(

PERFECT! I was looking for something just to use on pages that were hard to read the writing on and that's exactly what this is- but it's so great that now I've turned it on in default :) Colours staying the same was a brilliant idea- thank you so much for making this!
Very useful, thanks. JPG images retain their original colors (that is a must, imho) while PNG do not.
