Don't like the new Google AI overviews appearing in your search results? Perhaps you don't like the discussions section or the shopping blocks or even the sponsored links? This extension lets you hide them. It simply uses CSS to set those areas of the page to be hidden (display="none").
AI overviews are hidden by default but the options menu lets you choose what else you might want to hide: Videos, Discussion blocks, shopping blocks, "readers also ask" and sponsored blocks are also available to hide. Note that, if Google changes its CSS, we'll have to update the extension to keep pace.
You can also search the Google web results tab from your address bar by hitting w + space and then entering your query.

Oh my god, thank you. I came to this to get rid of the AI Overview, but it hadn't occurred to me that there might be a way to remove sponsored links. Huge positive change to my browser experience/life.

Once again, the powers that be - aka "Goolag" - try to force an obnoxious new 'feature' that nobody asked for; AND, I'm quite certain, most of us were just as happy without... In an ideal world, opting out would be as simple as just ticking or unticking a box somewhere... alas, this is modern year, so, heavens FORBID that people should have, y'know... Options? All I can say is, thank goodness for the fine folks who make these types of extensions available - y'all are truly wonderful people. Again, on behalf of those of us who just want to browse the Net in peace... My sincerest thanks.
Removes the display of the AI Overview from the search results. Has a brief delay(~100ms) and deletes the box from the display. Makes Google search usable again instead of producing junk results that cover the page and lack reliability.
