This extension adds back the Ctrl + scroll zoom for touchpads.
The reason this extension exists, is that ctrl + touchpad scroll zooming was removed from Chrome, and the "Bug" is marked as WontFix (https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=878694).

Zoom in on a specific part of the website, like you would with a touchpad gesture!
Zoom web pages with the left or right mouse button and the scroll wheel.
Each website (or all websites) may be set with a unique zoom level easily.
Right-click a column of text so zoom, or tap Shift and click, then press +/-/0 to adjust the font size. Esc unzooms.
Customizable zoom increment.
Pinch-to-zoom convenience, now on your desktop.
Thanks, Just panic that I can not use my touch pad to zoom (instead of scaling).
Works well in OSX Macintosh env
Fantastic! Works perfectly on macos with mouse scrool!
Great extension. Does what it says. It also works for the mouse wheel Ctrl + scroll, so great ! I would appreciate if you add the github repo to the description Thank you!
could you update the extension for mac users so that we can choose to use the Command button rather than Control? otherwise, it's the only/best solution i've found for mac
Thank you for making ctrl + scroll so that I can have consistency across platforms.
Great extension. In my case, however, it simply replaces the pinch zoom (touchpad) when it is activated. It would be even better if it could be triggered by the Ctrl key, so that the pinch gesture works with default behaviour and only zooms when Ctrl is pressed, or vice versa. An additional idea might be to display the current zoom value in the Extension icon.
A must have extension if your using chrome on a linux laptop. It's open source as well so you know it's safe. Thanks!
Agreed! Sorry, my fault. Extension works great :) It was just disabled by default and I missed it. (Previous OLD TEXT: No effect at Ubuntu 19.04 Chrome 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit))
Made my day! Thanks!
