This is the companion extension for the Chrome Remote Desktop website (https://remotedesktop.google.com). This extension enables you to install, view, and modify the Chrome Remote Desktop native client from the web UI.
Chrome Remote Desktop allows users to remotely access another computer through Chrome browser or a Chromebook. Computers can be made available on an short-term basis for scenarios such as ad hoc remote support, or on a more long-term basis for remote access to your applications and files. All connections are fully secured.
Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform. Provide remote assistance to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows and Mac desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks.

Very useful indeed expecially now with ongoing quarantine. Though I find it annoying that when I skipped over the option to "install" the chrome remote desktop to start menu, I can never find it again. I like it to autostart when windows startup. any help would be appreciated.
Can't use mouse and keyboard on remote PC, it works on and off.

Does not work, cannot add and access Chrome OS (Chromebook) from Chrome Remote Desktop app.
windows PCにchromebookまたはandroidスマホでアクセスしているが遅延も少なく良好。 androidスマホから文字を入力する時のアプリを選ぶのが難点かな。 とりあえずgoogle日本語入力なら可能。Gboardもちゃんと対応させて。
muito ruim não consegui me conectar com o computador
Was using Chrome Remote Desktop all this while without any issue until recently I can't connect. So I remove and install it again. Looks like it has a newer version now. After installed, I can't see my Mac in the device list. I cant access my Mac remotely. Can someone please assist me as I can't get any solution from the Support page. Thank you in advance.
Essentially, this is the ONLY FREE remote desktop app that doesn't require you to share your SS number. (ie, other free apps steal your data) It's ONLY meant for personal use and quick support help. No fileshare. You can email yourself files. THE PROBLEM is that everyone and their mother is on this during the Corona epidemic. Making this app impossible/miserable to use. But to clarify to all others... - you can't drag files over to your desktop - don't expect good resolution unless you have a very fast connection - this is for essential work like checking your proprietary email ONLY. Don't expect anything other than being able to log in and use the screen.
