This is the companion extension for the Chrome Remote Desktop website (https://remotedesktop.google.com). This extension enables you to install, view, and modify the Chrome Remote Desktop native client from the web UI.
Chrome Remote Desktop allows users to remotely access another computer through Chrome browser or a Chromebook. Computers can be made available on an short-term basis for scenarios such as ad hoc remote support, or on a more long-term basis for remote access to your applications and files. All connections are fully secured.
Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform. Provide remote assistance to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows and Mac desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks.

A horrible release by google. They abandoned support for the OS ap for this in-browser extension. conversion was clunky at best with zero support. Now there are massive issues with both access and browsing. Currently users cannot copy and paste data sets outside of the viewing window with out crashing. please do better google.
Old app was better. This web based version is slower, and looks horrible if viewing pictures or video.
after inputting host name, it just keep showing launching and the host never get online
Worse than the previous one. This feels really slow. Web version is complete garbage I would love it if they bring back the older version.
Wow google you really screwed this up. I hate that I now have to work inside the browser. I constantly use the scroll bars to navigate around an open program. and when I pan in the program it very erratic. There is no way to get a true full screen view of your remote desktop. If you are going to make it browser base at least give us the option to have a full screen of the remote pc as in the previous app. Google remote desktop was a great app . it was to setup. Now I have to find a replacement app. very sad
