Secure Shell is an xterm-compatible terminal emulator and stand-alone SSH client for Chrome. It uses Native Client to connect directly to SSH servers without the need for external proxies.
A SFTP command line client is included. On ChromeOS, you can create SFTP mounts and access them from the Files app!
An alpha build of Mosh is included now too.
It has been well tested for a couple of years.

chrome's middle-click autoscroll is the devil! It is the only thing I don't like but it really ruins the native shell-like experience which is the whole point :( I have to remember to click twice whenever I paste with the middle-click, once to paste and a 2nd to cancel the autoscroll otherwise whoosh! maybe someday google will allow that setting to be disabled?
Youtube!
Such a useful part of my daily remote work. especially when doing screen sharing demos with team mates. I only need to share my browser window and every body can watch as I switch tabs to show the command line and app deployment progress side by side.
Works great and it comes handy to have a terminal tab next to a webpage related to that tab (instead of switching between Chrome and the terminal app). Question: Is it possible to include support for custom Javascript code? (we can't use Tampermonkey, or similar, to inject Javascript code). I'd like to be able to override some of the defaults, and I can't do that using the Options page (eg: use Meta+F to search in page, instead of the default Ctrl+Shift+F).
It works perfectly.. without any issues on my Windows 10. I tried to use it and I wish it work in my M1 Mac. Hoping next version should be compatible to M1 Mac.
fast, convenient, noble, useful. I can't love it more!
A huge step backwards in convenience and usability for Chromebook users. Moving from the app to the extension has removed the ability to quickly open new SSH sessions, instead now requiring to go back to the browser not only to launch the first session (which would be annoying but tolerable) but for every new session as well, as the "new window' option on the tool bar just opens the options screen, as opposed to a selection of apps.
Great I loved the extension, especially the simple way of customizing it, but in the new version nothing is working for me, neither the background, fonts, color cursor, and in the old version it worked correctly I leave my settings just in case: { "magic":"nassh-prefs", "version":1, "nassh":{ "profile-ids":[ ], "welcome/notes-version":227, "welcome/show-count":5 }, "hterm":{ "default":{ "scrollbar-visible":false }, "predeterminado":{ "background-color":"rgba(72, 81, 117, 1)", "background-image":"url(https://i.pinimg.com/originals/58/cd/f3/58cdf35fc9615fdfa937870120f00c2a.png)", "background-size":"cover", "background-position":"0% 0%", "cursor-color":"rgba(255, 247, 0, 0.5)", "font-family":"\"DejaVu Sans Mono\",\"MesloLGS NF\", \"Noto Sans Mono\", \"Everson Mono\", FreeMono, Menlo, Terminal, monospace" } } }
