Cannot recommend this more highly, it is a very lightweight and surprisingly feature rich VTT. It integrates directly with DND Beyond so player don't have to learn anything new, they just install the extension and click join, done, seamless. It's missing some features, but has all the important ones for running a quick and dirty campaign, very easy to build encounters and set them up for play. Just a fantastic addition and does it without having to learn all the arcane and labyrinthine commands for FG or Roll20, no hurdle to players either, just love it.

Cutting down 90% of my prep time! I've been DM-ing on Roll20 while using Dndbeyond since September 2020. While there are many VTTs out there, AboveVTT just made things so much easier and simpler for DMs and players. Less stuff to manage and install. Less Chrome tabs. Less RAM used. Everyone is happy! Having a an active discord community who responds to our reports and request is just cherry on top of the cake. Sincerely wish that you could grow and appreciate everyone on the team who have made this!

I suppose this is a good attempt, however most established DM's are already using VTT that are further along with development. I'm surprised DDB went with a brand new VTT instead of working with one of the established communities. Plus the Brand New VTT is still an alpha build, this is often a concern as you are asking the community to tell you what is wrong with the VTT. Does DDB plan on allowing animated mapping system, customizable tokens, advanced DM tools other than an encounter builder? This still requires DM to use a variety of programs to develop their required material. It seems safer to use an established platform (Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, Foundry, talespire, the new VR setups that are coming out). If DDB really wanted to impress us they would have used something using the unreal engine to develop their VVT.

This tool is the missing piece I was looking for with my DNDBeyond experience. Quick and easily leverage my resources which my players all have access to. No expensive hosting, no extra subscriptions required and all my players can just download the extension and press join in the campaign section of DNDBeyond to get a game running. Even though it is early development it is very usable. Can't recommend this highly enough.

This thing is SO helpful. Even in at table in person play. The players can manage everything from their phones and nothing else is needed. Just played our 3.5th session and it was great. Only i was rolling actual dice. Keep up this fantastic work.
