Dark mode for Canvas. Staying up late doing homework? Reduce your eye strain and keep your circadian rhythm with this Dark mode for canvas! Canvas dark mode should work for your school, if it does not, contact me and I can update the plugin to include your school's URL! Currently, dark mode for canvas works on any "instructure.com/*" domain.
This is an open source project, if you would like to contribute, visit the repository.

really good extension, i recommend getting "Color Changing" extension, having Text Color and Link Color as white and Background as black. i also had an issue of having dark text while having the dark background but this additional extension made my life easy, hope this helps others too.

The moment I reloaded the page I swear I felt my eyes melt out of relief. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
Pretty good, some white spots, but still much better than before.
Helpful for working after the sunset, even though I'm a fan of darkened windows all around. No bugs seen, running 136.0.7103.114
A little patchy, but it's still very helpful to reduce eye strain. So good for late nights!! Edit: Someone named Diana on Feb 23, 2025 provided a fix for the white spots, idk if it still works tho :(
Darkens the font too much and many tiles and popups are still white. Tables are still white and headers for columns are white too - can't see them. Developer need to use canvas and enhance extension for easy visibility of all text.
I figured out how to fix the white patches! This extension is perfect after this! To make all websites dark mode in Google Chrome, you can enable "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents". This is an experimental feature that may change or be removed in the future. To enable "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents": Open Google Chrome In the address bar, type "chrome://flags" and press Enter Search for "dark mode" Find "Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents" and select "Enabled" Relaunch the browser
