It does as it says. I tried a similar extension that did the same thing, but that one would freeze all open chrome tabs for 5-10 seconds when youtube was opened and any audio that was playing would stop. This extension doesn't do that, so it's great. :)

I don't mind shorts so I downloaded this to have them show as a normal video and for that it works perfectly. That being said I don't like that it hides shorts completely by default now because I never wanted that functionality and wasn't even aware it could do that. Not to mention that I thought it was a problem with youtube at first.

For some reason, it does not work since the last update. Videos still playing with the default short player. I have already uninstall and reinstall but nothing change.

Great double functionality. You can either hide shorts from your feed completely, or keep them around but change the annoying shorts UI into the normal video UI.
