Excerpt from ghacks.net reviewing Crxmouse Chrome Gestures: Update 2: A report on Adguard suggests that crxMouse is used to collect data from users who install it. We decided to remove the link to the extension as a consequence and suggest you use Clean crxMouse Gestures instead. Update: The reviewed extension has a bit of a checkered past as some users in the comments have mentioned. The current version is quite permission hungry; it does have an opt-out option for anonymous data collection and the developer's privacy policy states that they collect aggregate data only. Still, you may want to check out the "supposedly" privacy-improved fork Clean crxMouse Gestures instead. Note though that it has last been updated in 2017. End Article from techspot.com that clarifies what ghacks.net was talking about: Over 11 million people have installed spyware from 'Big Star Labs' https://www.techspot.com/news/75708-over-11000000-people-have-installed-spyware-big-star.html Im a Firefox person but then comes this quantom version switching to what, web ext api structure? ---- blowing out all kinds of previous nice addons that can't be used anymore --- So addons mouse gesture wise --- Fire Gestures was the best i came across, then FF quantom knocked that out --- then luckily some how the extension - Gesturefy - matched and surpassed the flexibility of Fire gestures which only had left right up and down gestures but - Gesturefy - also had diagnal and circular motion capabilty to boot, all out winner. So back to CrxMouse Gestures...so far the closest Chrome based mouse gesture addon Im coming across to the other 2 mentioned above, but only at 60/70 % their match my opinion --- Big caveat tho...scared to nonchalantly keep using it per first part of my post... Snaps........ P.S. Clean CrxMouse unfortunately is not equal to CrxMouse Gestures --- more crippled and has less gesture capability than the original...enough so that, won't suit me as an 'alleged' cleaner choice option to use instead : (
