# INTRODUCTION

Quick Tabs is a tab management browser extension for the Google Chrome web browser based on the "Recent Files" quick selector built into the excellent IntelliJ IDEA by Jetbrains.

Quick Tabs allows you to move quickly between recently used tabs without requiring the use of your mouse, locate and switch to tabs as you need them with minimal keystrokes even when you have large numbers of open tabs.

Fantastic extension, can't use chrome without it anymore. It's not there for Safari but there is a similar extension - http://nickvdp.com/tablist/

Really useful extension - most-recently-used ordering helps me keep track of what I was doing as well as find the tabs quickly. I do still tend to end up with a lot of duplicate tabs though (e.g. same Google Doc in multiple tabs). Would be useful if I could sort them temporarily to kill of duplicates, or even better, to have that option directly in the tool. It does start to struggle once I have a *lot* of tabs open... window appears briefly then suddenly collapses to a single row without being able to see the contents properly. Resizing the window, closing a tab etc seems to fix it temporarily.

Fantastic extension! A lifesaver for those with 200+ tabs on regular basis :D! The search is amazing. Saves time! Thank you! P.S. People who like this would probably also like "The Great Suspender" extension to better manage Chrome memory with many tabs open.. and also to recover them all easily in case Chrome crashes. (I am not affiliated with that extension, just a happy user.)
