SecureProxy browser extension for Chrome provides with the ability to surf the web securely and privately without connecting to a "classic" VPN. It works like a browser proxy and all browsing traffic is encrypted through a secure tunnel.
Stealth against Firewall/DPI: when inspected using DPI technologies, the connections using the SecureProxy don't trigger alerts like a classic VPN would usually do.
There is no need to tunnel all your PC traffic through the VPN: you can have the browser tunneling the traffic through our servers and all other traffic sent via your regular ISP connection.
NOTE: You need an active VPN account from https://vpn.ac to connect using this extension.

This is fantastic, especially for chromebooks and heavily restricted corporate networks. Will unblock any website that is being blocked at the corporate or govt level just fine. I also find it useful for testing DNS issues easily (turn on proxy, is website reachable on public internet, ok good, turn off proxy) Highly recommended and speeds are decent. Plus if you sign up to vpn.ac you get a whole encrypted vpn product to use on windows pcs and android phones.
Used this on a recent trip to Beijing and it worked great. Could basically do my usual browsing. Of course, it works only through Chrome, so I was unable to use my usual ftp or work with terminal. But that just underscored the fact that the extension really works.

La extension funciona perfectamente, pero la configuracion VPN para la PC no.
Awesome extension! :) Only thing it would be awesome if you could exclude 127.0.0.1/localhost connections from the proxy tunnel, otherwise it breaks some of my other extensions (like 1Password) communicating with the main app.
Thank you for this service, that provides great connection from Shanghai, China. It's the better than other VPNs services. Cool feature for those who wants to have truly free internet connection
This works very well in Colorado! It's super-easy to set up, and I don't notice any speed change in my connection. I'm going to China soon so I look forward to using it there too.
