Doesn't actually send SMS messages. In order to rule out the possibility of incompatibility with other extensions I enabled and opened in an "incognito window" and it still wont send text/sms messages. Google removes the ability to send sms over chat/hangouts and tells us to use Google Voice but for me Voice isn't working. I don't currently have a phone plan with any of the oligopoly carriers (unlike a monopoly, and oligopoly is when multiple parties get together and set usurious service rates, i.e. upwards of $100 a month for a smart-phone call/text and data plan) Sprint: Lets set the cost at $70 AT&T: No that's too low! Our upper management needs more money! We need to make at least $1 million a year! Lets force the citizenry, mostly under and unemployed to give us $100! Verizon: Yeah! Sprint: Ok lets set it between $70 and $100. Celebration party at my yacht in the Bahamas. Google: Hey we want in on that action! Sprint: Well youre the idiots offering free SMS and calling! Youre running out business! Google: Yeah but we gleaned so much information for the NSA, we really know who the subversives who threaten our Ayn Randian Freedoms! Verizon: Well if you want in on this action you better get rid of that free service! Google: Yeah we were planning on simply discontinuing the service, were going to tell the citizenry that were streamlining our services. Verizon: Come to the yacht party! Lets milk the 1 in 4 Americans who are on Food Stamps! Pay $100 a month that you don't have or you just wont be able to communicate! Ha ha ha! We need more money! Google: Three cheers to the Ayn Randian Corporatocracy!

Works well except i would prefer a shortcut in the apps menu, and i cannot make outgoing calls with my sprint google voice number on windows 7

This was a great extension. Recently it has become so buggy. It will be hard to move away from Google Voice back to my cell number but I'm preparing to make the move. Sad - this extension and GV itself had so much potential but Google has really let it go.
