It could be more useful. The interface just doesn't feel premium. It feels a little sluggish to use. Also, the only option for clicking on phone numbers in the browser is to call, not to text. The notifications only work part of the time and there is no way to respond through them.

Almost perfect I only want one thing... When you are typing in a phone number, hitting the tab key should jump to the text box, as the tab key responds in any other portion of the browser. Other than that, this addon is a must have. Thanks

Does the job. My only thought is that it would be much more convenient to just hit enter to send the message. Other than that, it is a useful extension.

I left this review a couple years ago, it's all still true and unaddressed. This extension should match the current Google aesthetic. This design was the same used in 2011 Works... but there are some issues, the icon of the extension is from Voice's old android icon, I wished it matched (btw android <=2.3 still use this icon for notifications as well) the style of the extension should be similar to 'new google' like G+. When opening the browser I often have to visit the web page before it behaves. and I wish it make a more 'google like' sound or the ability to make my own sound. I will say that extension works as advertised and I do appreciate it.

A couple little bugs. Main one is when computer is connected to glitchy wireless, the extension stays disconnected until its opened or GV page is refreshed. Normally, I rely on this to save time and not have to keep checking the GV tab, and it does what I need. You know Google will fix all the bugs.

It was great for a long time, but now many users, myself included, have reported that the "ding" notification for a new message has stopped functioning. No support or action to fix the issue has been taken by the developer.
