Great to have when you have to give out a number and don't want the recipient to have you cell number. It has a lot of useful features such as blocking caller and translating messages to text and sending to the phone. Be mindful when using to call from phone mobile to mobile calling does not apply.
Disliked because, after testing my 10 extensions for the last day, it appears this is the culprit causing my Win7 x64 PC to not drift off into sleep mode automaticlally. 4 stars otherwise, bad bug for a tree-hugger like me. Chrome 24.x btw.
3 stars for great SMS functionality. -2 for the fact that the call function is essentially useless. Echoing the sentiment of previous reviewers, I would like to be able to make outgoing calls utilizing Google Voice in the same manner that I can via Gmail. Google Voice first calls my cell phone which then connects the call to the outgoing number, making it essentially just an external dialer for my cell phone. Why?
It works but like many Android apps and extensions - it isn't polished or very intuitive. But if you use Google voice it's definitely worth getting.
This is a very poor quality extension, but it works. I use it every day. Don't get too cozy with "tab" though because it frequently doesn't tab to the right fields when you expect it to. And the text box doesn't clear out when you expect it to. I expect better quality from Google, but at least they provided *something* for us to use. My complaints are only about this extension; Google Voice itself is fantastic.
Needs ability to just see unlistened to voicemails. and sorting of missed calls, outbound dialed calls and inbound calls.
I love Google Voice!
