Great Extension, I use is all the time. Below are some bugs and feature requests: 1. In Windows you cannot Tab to the Send button. 2. The phone number, click to call, part is a bit poor at recognizing phone numbers...maybe 50% of the time 3. No phone number shown next to "Inbox" list. I'd prefer that over the person's avatar.
Amazing and easy. Love the desktop interface and the seamless operability with Android. Perfect and saves me about $20 per month on text charges.
Awesome product. Wish we can call from it too, without it forwarding to cell phone. Just like you can call from Gmail.
Love this, Always know you have an email with the voice!! Thanks
I love your Google Voice Chrome extension, but I've found a few bugs in it. From one developer to another I thought I'd share what I've found in case it helps. After sending a text the div containing the Send button (with tabindex of 7) seems to be replaced with a new div that has tabindex of 0. This makes it so next time I try to send a text I tend to tab to the "Call" button (tabindex of 8) and click that instead. The workarounds are to close the widget and reopen it, click on the send button instead of tabbing to it, or tab 4 times instead of 1. Sometimes when clicking on the message, every letter you type erases whatever is in the textarea. There is a strange intricacy in Chrome (may or may not be a bug) that doesn't occur in firefox. I ran into this a while back on a project I was working on where things worked fine in Firefox but not in Chrome. When you use the "click" event, Chrome only registers it as a click if both the mousedown and mouseup events are fired within the same element. This means that if you Highlight some text and release the mouse button outside of the box (this happens often when selecting all text), it will not register as a click event. My guess is you have a click event somewhere in there that handles the focus on the text areas. The way I fixed this was to use mousedown instead. There might be a more clever way around it though. I've noticed comments in the web store that other people have seen this happen as well, and it alluded me for a long time - but after finding the fix in my other project I can avoid it in your widget. Hopefully this info helps make it a quick fix. On a side note, have you thought about other ways to handle the calling feature? I think Google has improved their calling functionality and you can now call from Google Talk with your own Google Voice number. When I use this Chrome extension to call it shows up as an unregistered number, meaning I can't redial from Google Talk. Maybe at least a redial feature or some kind of call history would be handy. Thanks, hope that helps P.S. Is there a better place to contact the developer? The app's details page in the Chrome Web Store has a link for "Report Bug" which goes to a Google help site saying to look for the developer's email address in the app's details page in the Chrome Web Store, but there's no e-mail there.
I think this is awesome. Anonymity, reliability, and flexibility all wrapped into one simple number. I also love the HelloFax option! Thanks Google.
Works Like a charm! Worth 5 stars!
