It's awesome! It's simple and replaces the use of a normal number. It's great, seriously! You can even have your own phone number, for totally free! It's quick, available anywhere, everywhere, when you want it and how you want to use (by phone, tablet or PC. You can make phone call, SMS and have a voicemail, all for free. And by Google, which is awesome. Although, I live in Canada, so all I do is repeating what Americans say about it...!

Use it all the time so I don't have to pick up my droid... GF has it now too only thing I find annoying is that I cant customize the friggin bell, so now they collide--plus it's kind of annoying would be nice to change it after 5 years of the same bell

would be awesome if the extension showed a notification for an incoming call. Would really appreciate this feature as i'm trying to help my grandparents get rid of their home phone. Answering calls from their tv connected to a computer would be amazing for them. But having to be on the gmail page itself to answer any incoming calls would be a bit of tech leap for them. And i found (and i very much so like) that if gmail is at least a tab and i'm browing on facebook, i can hear a ringtone from the google voice. Just make it an option for the extension hear to answer the call, and you'd have the perfect phone solution for us! thanks!

Really nice extension, and love the integration with Android. However, it would be great to get some "Tab" functionality built into the Text interface. For example, when you begin typing a name into the "Number to text" field, it begins to auto-complete, but you need to hit "Enter" to complete. "Tab" seems more intuitive. Also, once hitting "Tab", the cursor should move to the "Message" field so you can begin composing your message. Then, when "Tab" is pressed again, the cursor should move to the "Send" button so you can easily hit "Space" or "Enter" to send the message. This would make the Text function much quicker and more intuitive. Currently, you need to clicky each field with your mouse, while everything else is done on the keyboard. Other than that, great extension!

No longer updating extensions. Multiple people have reported this issue. Google hasn't done anything about it. Too bad. Google is getting the reputation of producing mediocre and buggy software.

I use this extension all the time and find it amazingly useful - especially for text messaging and listening to voicemail. For initiating and managing phone calls however, I wish more of that could be done via the extension. I don't like how the click-to-dial and selecting Google Talk requires me to jump back into gmail (I am usually on another tab) and answer the incoming call before it dials the number I wanted. It would be better to initiate and terminate calls directly from the extension so users could more easily manage current calls and dial/receive new ones. A current workaround is to pop-out the call window from Gmail, but that still forces you to jump back into Gmail and the resulting window is easily buried under other applications rather than being easily accessible in the Chrome extension space.

I love this extension and it should be made part of Chrome, however it seems impossible to push the number 4 key because it always enables recording EVEN IF I have that disabled in the options of Google Voice and of the extension... any ideas? is this a bug?
