I make Calls from my Gmail... To Any Phone Sweet!
You call it "Google Voice". Ironic thing is it does not do anything voice at all. You can not place a call, you can not receive a call without going into Gmail. This whole extension should be renamed to "Google SMS" because that is all that works and all that is intended to work. Boo.
Doesn't work for me. When I click to call a number on a web page it just displays a red error "Try again"... but never works.
I like this extension because I do not need to keep the the web page open in my browser in order to access my Google Voice. I recommend the plug in but more than that I recommend Google Voice to everyone.
I'm with Sprint, integrated my Sprint number as my google voice number and now I can send and receive texts calls and voicemails via this extension? Right on! I haven't made a call yet, but I'll say that I'm receiving my texts within a matter of seconds (about 10 seconds depending on my internet connection) I'll update this once I try everything else out. In the meantime, keep it up google!!! You scare the hell outta me sometimes with your apps, however, I'm okay with you turning into a reality search engine.
It's Just okay...I uninstalled skype and still the only thing I can do is text. No matter what I do I cannot connect an actual voice call. It goes thru all of the motions yet NEVER connects. Can someone PLEASE help me?

This would be much more useful if you could actually make a call like you can do using Gmail Chat.
So disappointing, I can only make phone calls when gmail tab is also open. Kind of defeat the purpose for this.
Doesn't work to call people even if I can from Gmail...
