Used to be a great extension. For the last month or so though, it's been showing that I have unread messages. It started with "3" in the icon, now it shows "5". I've double, triple, quadruple checked, and marked everything read each time. There's no new messages, but according to the extension there is. To make matters worse, this isn't just on a PC, it's on my Chromebook too, running stable channel!

it'd be nice if they actually updated this so that the extension can perform all of the new things that voice can do. there is now group messaging, image functionality, etc.... none of which can be done in the extension right now

Hasn't been updated in years. Doesn't do MMS. Doesn't match current UI of Google Voice app. If Google's going to de-emphasize Hangouts as a consumer app, they need to update their Google Voice Chrome extension. Sad.

It's handy to notify me that I have a message when I'm working on the computer. The unread message count is never right and it's pretty glitchy on my Chromebook. You'll need to switch over to the website or use your phone often.
