- If a phone number doesn't turn into a link, you can select the text with your mouse and right-click to make a call (note: might not work with all numbers).

Info:

- If you don't like the extension turning numbers into Voice icon links, you can turn it off in the extension options.

Used and loved it for years, now forced to use bloated horrible web layout. Will probably drop Google voice over breaking and not fixing the ability to send text message from this plugin. All the positive features that gave google a competitive advantage have been removed from the service.

Big big fan of Google Voice (GV) Easy to send text right from my desktop..then make a call for free in the USA.So meany great features! it was a lifeline when I was homeless...Thank All You Genius Googler from the bottom of my heart!

Other than having to remove it and then install it again, every so often, it works well for me.

If I click a number that is already in my address book, it seems to work. Clicking unknown numbers does not seem to work at all. Disappointing

Another instance of Google not having their act together. Last updated in November 2013?! What a joke. For a company as big as Google is, there is NO excuse for the crap they dole out -- especially for iOS and OS X

I admit its not an easy technical thing to get a telephone technology running at scale, but on the other hand this is Google and their investment in this product is clearly less that what is needed to live up to that name. I have used it for years, and will continue to use it, but anyone who buys this should be ready for a bumpy ride with lots of missing critical features and generally not exactly professional level consistent reliability of integrations and overall service.
