Ah, Sprint Reader! A digital marvel that promises to turn us all into literary Usain Bolts, dashing through prose at breakneck speed. Now I can't press control without seeing an sprint reader alert!? Please Stop with the weird shortcuts. I only use the right click option. Otherwise is a good app.

In 1.3.8, shortcut key for auto-select is changed from SHIFT to CTRL+ALT, but the problem hasn't been solved yet. In my environment (Mac OSX+Chrome 34.0), when I press only CTRL (not CTRL+ALT), popup is shown. This behavior is reproducible. I want to disable auto-select popup completely.

Exceptional extension - the superior speed reading extension in the chrome web store. Constant improvements. Very responsive and committed developers. Offers several distinct advantages to other speed reading extensions and more are being added. The ability to speed read your clipboard allows this app to be essentially cross-platform - eg speed read PDFs, word docs, etc. The sentence display at bottom allows for faster reading speeds - if you miss something, just hit pause and you can read what you just missed without having to search through the webpage or stepping back and re-reading excessive amounts of the page. Keep up the great work!

By far and away the best software of its kind, thank you Sprint Reader. I read a lot of academic material (humanities) and this has helped me get through it quickly and with good comprehension. I have even found that my reading speed for normal print has increased as a result. My one hope is that they produce software to work on my iPad and Samsung Phone, too.

This extension is amazing. Its level of customizability and sophistication means that just about anyone can set it up to be useful for them, whatever type of reading they do. I use this for serious academic reading, and it's invaluable for getting through texts required that one must be familiar with, but which may not be of the utmost interest. If you have attention problems, like I do, it's also very useful for keeping you on task. The language in academic texts can be complex, so I don't go too fast (up to about 700 wpm if I really just need to be familiar with something, slower if I need deep comprehension), but the time savings are still substantial. I still find myself stopping and rereading at the densest parts, but that's part of academic reading. I would do that anyway to annotate the text. The speed advantage is still there. Getting through 10,000 words in 20 or 30 minutes is amazing. If the extension is great, the attention from the developer is even better. As of the date of this review, development is very active and the extension is being constantly updated. In the month or so I have been using it, the feature set and usability have come to incredible levels. I have had personal correspondence with the developer, and he's very good about integrating suggestions and new features from users whenever possible.
