A very simple plugin to hide all YouTube Shorts from the YouTube homepage and recommended pages. Lightweight and can be toggled on/off when needed. Does not collect any data or track any of your actions.
Hopefully YouTube will add this as a standard feature, until then I will keep updating the plugin.

thanks mate! it was infuriating to get bombarded by shortform content when i have no interest in it
Works but the problem I have is the ones I'm suscribed to, their shorts still show up on notifations. But GRRRR I don't know they are shorts till I click on them (as there is no indication) and then its too late the logarithms think I love the bloody things!! This is mostly why I wanted to block shorts in the first place, you know what I mean, you see their video come up so you go get a coffee and a biccie snuggle down to enjoy a full length video and...... It's a (insert rude word here) SHORT!

Doesn't work for search results, I haven't used it for long but it seems to work besides that
I found the Really Hide YouTube Shorts extension for Chrome to be incredibly helpful! I often got distracted by short videos, making it hard to enjoy the content that truly interests me. With this extension, I can easily hide YouTube Shorts, allowing for a more focused and enjoyable viewing experience. The interface is very user-friendly, and the setup takes just a few minutes. I love being able to concentrate on longer videos without getting sidetracked by short clips. If you want to avoid distractions on YouTube, I highly recommend trying Really Hide YouTube Shorts!
