You sit down at the computer, and you swear you'll be productive. Next thing you know, it's twelve hours later. You've checked your email, updated your Facebook status, blown through 200 pages of Reddit, read every article in your Twitter feed, looked up your favorite band on Wikipedia, vanity googled yourself, cyber-stalked your ex, browsed through all your high-school crushes' Instagram feeds, and lost a week's pay playing online poker.
What you haven't done is WORK.

It's good and has saved me a lot of time. But it would be great to have separate ways to block groups of sites, at least two ways - nuke and timer-based. There are certain sites I just want to nuke and others that i want to set a timer for. I understand that part of the identity of this is that it's so light, but it's a little too rigid atm, and, I think, people who get used to it will eventually look for something a little more flexible and move on.
It's ok. It does what it claims to. But there's a line between making sure your user *really* wants to change settings and being downright annoying, and this extension crosses it at every possible opportunity. Once the extension is all set up it works fine, but getting it set up is a nightmare. I have separate computers for work and personal use. On the weekend I found and installed this extension on the work computer. I couldn't change the current day to be a non-active day, even though I would assume the best time to set up this extension is a day where you're not supposed to be working. Increasing the maximum time allowed to account for a variable lunch break involved annoying popups. I couldn't set a challenge because I couldn't meet an arbitrary minimum character limit (and the no-typos thing is ridiculous, at least make it configurable. Or if, as I suspect, it's a by-product of keystroke tracking for other anti-cheat functions, your programming method sucks). Chrome had helpfully, without my knowledge, synchronised the extension to my personal computer. And it began blocking websites (for some reason without any notifications). And then I couldn't change any settings because my time had expired. So I had to uninstall the extension for my personal computer to be usable, and then set it all up again on a day when I actually had work so I could set my active days correctly. So it actually ended up *reducing* my productivity. So my main feedback is to allow some kind of set-up phase with no restrictions on which settings can be changed (and no annoying popups there either). Remove the minimum character limit and make no-typo mode optional for the challenges. And make it less annoying. It's unprofessional.
Does what it says, certainly. Unfortunately, it also blocks random, unlisted websites like dropbox. You can tell the app to never block that specific website, but once the app has activated for the day you can't actually make this exception until the next day, when the app deactivates. There's also no way of anticipating what it will block. It's currently blocking a specific set of search results on Airbnb, but not the Airbnb site itself. Infuriating.
Used to be a great extension, have used it for years, but has gotten increasingly buggy and unusable. It's blocking sites outside the times it's supposed to be active, not blocking sites when it's set to be active and just sort of working randomly. The only time it works well is for the nuclear option. If you want to access your blocked sites some of the time, this app no longer works.
Всё отлично, если вы не веб-разработчик. За добавление панели расширения на все сайты, включая те, что не под запретом — причина удалить расширение без права на восстановление.
Does not really work well with the Brave browser and will jump to the end of my remaining time randomly. For example, I have my active hours set for 9 am - 6 pm. Today, I was on Reddit starting at 8:55 am. At 9 am, I received the notification that StayFocusd was counting my visit against my remaining time and within 30 seconds, the extension jumped to 0 time remaining and blocked the site. I've noticed similar behavior in the past (where I think I should have more time but the extension registers that I've used it all), but I've never had such a clear example of it malfunctioning. Otherwise, it is a solid idea for an extension.
Cool idea, and it's free, however the countdown is inaccurate. Sometimes the seconds pass slower, at even twice less speed than a normal countdown should be. So a 10 minutes input there would take 20 minutes to countdown.
Расширение работает, но сегодня почему-то когда захожу в параметры расширения оно грузится и так не загружается сайт.
Fantastic; one of the few website blockers that isn't disabled in 3 clicks. Nuclear + blocking extensions page = godsend
A opção nuclear bloqueia absolutamente TODOS os sites (inclusive o do stay focusd) mesmo quando vc configura pra bloquear apenas os fora da lista de permitidos
