You sit down at the computer, and you swear you'll be productive. Next thing you know, it's twelve hours later. You've checked your email, updated your Facebook status, blown through 200 pages of Reddit, read every article in your Twitter feed, looked up your favorite band on Wikipedia, vanity googled yourself, cyber-stalked your ex, browsed through all your high-school crushes' Instagram feeds, and lost a week's pay playing online poker.
What you haven't done is WORK.

A simple web site blocker to keep you focused and enhance your productivity
The Freedom website blocker gives you control over distracting websites, so you can focus on what matters most.
Limit your time spent on distracting sites. Limit is an extension that allows you to set time limits for distracting websites.

Eradicate distractions and take back control of your browsing
Nuclear mose automaticaly sets for all sites not just your blocked ones. I was editing somthing, and turned on nuclear mode and forgot to set for only blocked sites and lost a hours work. other than that its great. just dont forget to switch to blocked sites or you are skrewed
A very useful tool, certainly the most extensive and convenient I've found among its kind. But I'm subtracting a point for the way it obstructs changing the settings. Among others, it puts a 24 hour delay on changing the active hours, and it doesn't let you whitelist pages once your time allowance has run out. I understand conceptually why it's there, but if you're using this in good faith then you don't need those restrictions, and if you're using it in bad faith then they will never stop you from cheating. It should be possible to turn those off.
best solution
Love it, this extension helps me a lot! Also, I love the good sense of humour. Please don't tell my mum I added 5 more minutes! One little bug that needs to be fixed ASAP is that the nuclear option will nuke allowed sites too - even when I set it to "All sites except those on my Allowed Sites list". Other than that, StayFocusd does its job perfectly!
me parecio genial en especial a mi que me la paso perdiendo tiempo en un monton de paginas por eso le doy 5 estrellas felicitaciones a los creadores👍👋
won't allow me to change the time limit to the higher value just after install, but it let me to lower it even more. nah. i will look for another tool like that
Very helpful for making me stay on-task. Even though I hate it when I want to surf, I know it's best for me. It has some problems, but it is still the best focusing tool out there. The nuclear option is very helpful. Okay now that I've had it for a year I don't like it as much but it still deserves 5 out of 5. It still tracks your time even when you're minimized and on a different profile. I have a google profile for school and for home, and it tracks my tab when I'm not on it. Also, this doesn't have a per site timer option or a multiple time ranges to track. WasteNoTime is another extension I use in conjunction with this, and the work well together.
Incredible app to prevent procrastination. After being well set up, the nuclear option is far better than any other app I've seen; it can be narrowly tailored to prevent certain content types, or broadly applied to prevent all but a few key resources.
Absolutely terrible. Even if you aren't on the page you set with a time limit it doesn't let you use the page for ever unless you reopen it on a different browser
I've used a few of these before, and this has been the most effective one. The ability to set time limits, and time frame works well. But it is the difficulty of changing the settings that separates it from other website limit apps and extensions I have used. While on most other website limits I have used I could simply be a few clicks away from ignoring it, this one I'd have to solve a challenge, completely uninstall the extension, or worse open up Microsoft Edge to check social media.
