StayFocusd has helped me cut hours of mindless internet surfing out and instead keep me focused on the important things I have to get done each day. SF makes up for my lack of self-control and does so in a great way. Highly Recommended!
StayFocused is the BEST of its kind! At rare times, I tried to lengthen the allowed time of websurfing. When that happens, a message would pop, saying "you're not cheating, are you." Okay, ignore, and continue with the next step. Then another message would pop up, "seriously? are you really going to do that?" Similar messages would appear till the fifth or so attempt. I think the developer is a clairvoyant or something, he/she knows exactly what I would do!
StayFocusd is perfect in every way. I need to keep a browser open while I work for fact-checking and StayFocusd keeps me safely away from irrelevant sites. It works seamlessly with Chrome and it's simple and intuitive to use. Strongly recommended to anyone who needs to concentrate hard on their work.
I included this extension in my thesis acknowledgements.
Such an important extension. I particularly like the Nuclear option -- I have a whole different relationship to my fb timeline after having banned myself for stretches of 24 to 72 hours.

Does exactly what I needed it to do, and the people behind it have some amazing humor. Allowing me to set aside certain amount of time for Facebook and Twitter.
The best website blocker.
I always get mad when I see the little guy pop up on my screen asking me if I should be working, but then I remember that I did it to myself. I have ADHD, and this app really helps give me that kick in the butt to get off of Facebook and get to work. It's frustratingly wonderful. :) Like other users have said, the developer has a wonderful sense of humor as well!
